The Alex Lifeson Les Paul Axcess carries powerful Epiphone Ceramic Pro neck and ProBucker 3 bridge pickups with coil-splitting options via their push-pull volume controls, and a Graph Tech Ghost Floyd Rose system that not only provides the worlds most efficient vibrato, but is also loaded with Ghost piezo bridge saddles. He’s a bit of a cork sniffer, so that’s high praise from him YouTube. Dialing in the piezo adds air between notes with low end that’s great for gentler, strummy tones and folkier places than you might expect. Trogly did a video on this one yesterday, he seems to be happy with it. While the action on our test guitar is a little high for us, the humbucker choices here feel right the bridge rich and fat, the neck blooming and throaty, with definition. But all this wouldn’t count for much without the foundations in place.
